This is quite simple and it only takes about a minute to have your GDI page to redirect to another page like for sample www.peoplesinfo.ws/blog redirected to http://www.free-people-search.azulmundial.com which is my actual blog where I make changes or add post for my Acme People Search blog site.
Like I said, redirecting is so simple that you could only finish it in a minute because you only have to place the code and change the URL where you wish to redirect that page to other site.
But before going into this please make sure that you’ve acquired FTP program, else you need to download and install one. I use Filezilla.net FTP client because its free and it works well. Install the FTP program to your computer and later you’ll have to enter your GDI hosting details so that you can put files on to your Server.
If you’ve installed the program then lets move forward. Also assuming that you’ve set up your GDI setting to basic hosting account then then you’ll have no problem on accessing your server. In case you don’t have set it up – just log in to your GDI account and go to domains and set your settings to basic hosting but beware because if you’ve created a site using sitebuilder and change settings you will lose all of your page. So do this only to domains that you haven’t published any page yet.
How to start redirecting your GDI page site:
1. You need to run your windows Notepad – if you don’t know what it is, then simple click Start button from taskbar and click Run then tyep NOTEPAD – press enter.
2. Once your Notepad is up, then place the code below but change the windows.location URL settings where you wish to redirect your GDI page to another site – it can BE your blogspot blog, wordpress blog or just any sites.
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN”>
<html>
<head>
<title>Earn Money on People Search</title>
<meta name=”description” content=”affiliates can earn money through commission. Acme people search commission”>
<meta name=”keywords” content=”earn money online job business people search income”>
<meta http-equiv=”cache-control” content=”no-cache”>
<meta http-equiv=”pragma” content=”no-cache”>
<script type=”text/javascript”>
<!–
window.location = “http://wordlinx.com/?r=119388″
//–>
</script>
</head>
</html>
3. Once you made the changes then simply save the file and name it index.htm – make sure that you know where you save this in your directory because you’ll have to upload it to your server.
4. Next run your FTP program like Filezilla and then enter your GDI hosting details examples:
Host: yourdomain.ws
username: YourGDIUsername
password: yourGDIPassword
5. Once you’ve succesfully login to your FTP server then go to your main folder (YourDomain) and create another folder such for example you’ll make a new folder name blog.
6. In the new folder that you’ve just created, simply put your index.htm into that folder by simply dragging it from which directory you save it to the blog folder which you just created in your server.
7. That’s it! You just redirected your GDI page to your blog site. You can do more on this on different folder names. Just simply follow the steps and you’ll start redirecting.
